Welcome to Family Medicine

The Department of Family Medicine is a dynamic department at the University of KwaZulu Natal with a vision of establishing the Department as the leading Academic Department of Family Medicine in Africa. The Department strives to:

a) provide appropriate and continuous quality family medicine teaching and training (both undergraduate and post graduate) at centralized and decentralized (urban and rural) teaching sites

b)support high quality service delivery in the District Health System using a multidisciplinary approach and to

c)conduct high quality family medicine research that impact on the lives of individuals, families and communities.
